For the Ocean

 

Subtle swaying,

I can barely

hear you, what

is it you're 

saying? All these

years you've been

thrashing,

gently calling

with a violent

Earthly language.

 

I have stared

into the eyes

of the ocean

for hours

& still, a

calmness is

found in the

rippling sliver

sheets, lightly 

spread across

this bed of

undulating,

depthless

darkness.

Eventually,

wind will

find a way

through

everything.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Deeply hued

shades of

blue

 

wind Whips,

grips lines &

Snap! Snap!

Moaning, groaning,

aching mast

& itching

fiber glass,

Snap! Snap!

Snap!

Rap-a-tap tap

to the howling

knot song - whistling

in the shrouds,

shaking, shivering

Bowing & Bending,

Ballasted ocean

mouth piece

SNAP SNAP!

The mast lined musician,

snap! Natures counting

carries on.
